Our next location which would be Sioux Falls South Dakota which I would call the 3 hour stop. We had not intended on spending any daylight and in Sioux Falls. There was a boondock suggestion on our Days end PDF. They said there was a restaurant called Marlins family restaurant they will let you park in the parking lot if you ask permission. We arrived about 930 at night and they closed at 10pm. We had dinner there and they gave us permission. They shared the parking lot with a place that distributes tires or perhaps recycles them. The tire company parking area was darker and less idling trucks so we went over that way but I felt like I was in an area that I didn’t have permission for so it was a little weird. I heard a little rumbling out there in the middle of the night and it made me nervous like they were trying to steal something. Later I decided I think it was just the guys leaving out and making their deliveries on 3rd shift but I allowed it to make me paranoid for a while. The next morning we had the whole parking lot to ourselves. It was about 630 am and I decided we had been extended grace long enough and then it was time to go. I took off with the girls still in bed and went to a rest area about a half an hour away going west. We spent a good hour so at the rest area just having coffee. I cranked the generator and just kind of enjoyed life for a while and gathered our heads and took a look at maps. We had some breakfast when we left Sioux Falls we were headed to our next top which would be Badlands National Park.

When we left Sioux Falls it was about 9 or 10 a.m. and it was 84 degrees. About an hour and a half later we looked and almost out of the blue it was 101 degrees. Savannah likes riding back in the back camper but there's no air conditioning back there so it was 100 degrees on the outside and the RV has a tendency to add that and so it was a probably 110 inside the RV. She was kind of letting us know that it was pretty rough so when we actually got to Badlands the only campsite so available was non electric but we took it because we needed a place to stay.

At a Truck stop near badlands I saw this cool metal sculpture and I loved it
