# 18 Mackinaw city campground

Our next stop is Mackinaw city and we stayed at a nice little place with water and electric. Sewer is rare unless you want to spend 55 dollars a night., This place was 20.00 and very nice. We got up and I had decided we had been heathens long enough and it was time to go to church. Savannah slept in and I wanted to

go ride bikes on Mackinaw Island and you get there by ferry. Needless to say, the ferry will arrive there about the time that the service is half over but we're going to give it a try. The church service is at a place called the little stone church. As I understood it is really old an historic and it was very beautiful. They had an after service appetizer spread that would shame any restaurant. With a full belly we started a 5 mile ride around the circumference of the island. We made a cake for Savannah using the convection option on the microwave and we were pleased. We didn't have a cake pan so we used bread pans and such. Our Girl is 18 now.

Mackinaw City has about 30 fudge stores in a few blocks so as part of Savannah's birthday she and I went into town and did what we called the fudge tour. We would buy a little fudge at every store we came to. stores until she finally said that's enough Dad. I think we went to like 10 fudge places.
