We next headed towards Austin and we saw a state park called McKinney Falls. It was probably the only nice place to be in Austin for an RV. We settled down and went into Austin to kind of get a little bit of a lay of the land. We wanted to do something creative for Savannah. I remember always being all jazzed up about watching Austin City Limits, so I look to see who was playing. There was a band called Effervescence and as it turns out she really liked that band, so I planned on her going while we were in Austin. I found the ticket sales area and gave her a credit card and dropped her off. I surfed the block a few times. Until she emerged with her ticket. I told her to be careful and we basically just dropped her off in front of the concert said we would pick her up around 11. I think she probably got a kick out of being all grown up. That’s also us letting go and just trusting that she would be okay.

Not knowing for sure about hoping for the best it's all part of cutting the cord, I guess.

Austin like many large cities is really getting to a point to where the traffic is so bad you spend a lot of your time being paralyzed. I was pretty bothered by how bad it was. It was just like Atlanta, DC and Raleigh but I have to tell you I think that they have a gridlock about all day instead of just at rush hour. It was such a problem it made me not want to stay there too long. I guess after we got settled maybe day number two, we went for a little hike to the actual McKinney Falls. There's an upper and lower and it is very pretty. We always try to enjoy it all and after that it was about time to pack up.
