When the rebuild of the engine was finished, we could have just kind of hung out for a few days and I did want Glen the Rebuilder to solve an air conditioning problem. He said I was going to have to wait until first of the week to fit me in. After the whole Texas Hill country excursion, we were getting close to being back to Kaufman. On the east side of things and saw a nice little Texas State Park called Purtis Creek in a little town called Eustace. Mainly I went into town and dropped the truck off at Glens to do the air-conditioner work. It was just kind of an all-day long job and I rode my bike up to the public library area for Wi-Fi to get some things done on the computer. I figured when I was done I'll ride my bike back down to Glens he was only a mile or two and that's what I did and that kind of burned up that day and best I remember after that it was most likely the weekend so we took the truck on back to Purtis Creek. On Sunday India and I decided to go to the local Methodist Church and we never know quite what we're going to get. This was a little bit small on the congregation side. We went into what seemed to be the Sunday school session. There was an older gentleman which was the preacher his wife and a young girl but 17 and they were all sitting there watching a video called Left Behind. It wasn't really a Sunday school class it was just watching a video and the topic wasn’t really us. It was a little weird but figured when in Rome do as the Romans do. We moseyed into the church service and the congregation swelled to the number of about 11 people. I was just telling myself they're doing the best they can. I believe this is what you refer to as a church that might be dying. The one positive thing or a positive thing is that the young girl seemed as if she was almost a runaway and that the preacher it kind of rescued her and kept her from the worst of things. I just kind of put her side and she was all excited about our RV trip. I tried to get her to realize that you can stay in this town or you can do anything you want. I actually told her about the internships that are available within the National Parks called the SCA and she could just leave one day and not come back but got a little jazzed up about the future and I liked that.

Our Sunday routine is to go to a church service and then lunch and I usually I can take a fat nap. I'm sure it was a lot like that I also spent some time on this excursion changing out the tire on the fifth wheel camper. It had a bulge in the sidewall. I did that Monday morning and then the day got away from us me and Savannah went out in the kayaks and went fishing out on Purtis Creek and just had a nice day. We didn’t catch anything but sometimes fishing is just spending time together and communing with nature. That was definitely a good use of time.
