We were at the Savannah Georgia Visitor Center parking lot having had a nice bike ride that day. It was a good day and Savannah was really nice weather-wise. Just before that weekend, it had been unbelievably cold in Wilmington. I would say around 10 degrees which are unheard of in our area. In the evening I got a call from the tenant, Daniel and he said we have a problem. We just came back from our honeymoon and there's been a really big water leak in the living room ceiling. We can't stay here tonight and I think I should turn off the electricity so we don't get electrocuted. I tried to tell him how to turn it off at the main but my panel cover is a little Persnickety. He couldn't figure out quite how to open it and so he turned off the water pump out the good house which is least caused the water to stop. They had been on their honeymoon and so the leak most likely started on a Saturday night when it was 10 degrees. A pipe breaks fills the attic with water and it started flowing at 5 gallons per minute for three days. My heart really went out to the tenants because they were newly married coming home from the honeymoon and this is not what you want to come home to. They said they could live with friends for a day or two.
