For our next stop and we saw Crooked River State Park or Fort Clinch. Since we knew nothing about either I think we just chose it because they had vacancy and the other park was busy.
During this time, we're having a lot of trouble with our speed control sensor. I didn't know that's what it was called yet. All I knew is that sometimes when you press on the gas pedal nothing happens. It will go at one mile an hour in limp home mode. I've found out that if you take all the power loose from the battery, it kind of resets the computer and it will start working for a period. That is a bit of a weird thing to do all the time. It did this behavior just as we were arriving at crooked creek so we limped into the campsite. That was the beginning of that problem and it went on for 6 months. We arrived and nosed around and it was just kind of one of those things where if you find this site you like and take it. It's a first come first serve on a thing so once you get your site you pay at an unmanned pay station. I didn’t see anybody at a booth or anything so we settled into a site. When we're traveling, we drive 2 hours and stay two nights. I thought it was a nice little place in the woods you could watch the river go. There was some barge traffic on the river. I love watching barge's whenever they go down rivers because I think of commerce and things being productive. There was a hiking trail that the girls went on and I don't know why but it seemed like we were doing something separate that time. Later in the evening, we had a nice visit went to a Mexican place in town. Crooked creek was basic but it was the kind of place where you would want to go back again. As it turns out we certainly did as we did our annual Florida snowbird migrations.
