We arrived at the park and did our leveling of the rig routine. In the beginning, I did it all. At some point, I stated we could all pitch in and split up the duties needed. I would work on leveling. Savannah might extend the rear stabilizers and set the tripod stabilizer under the fifth wheel. India would hook up the water hose and plug us into the power source. It had started to get old that when we arrived at a new location, they would just find an internet connection and start vegging and I would be out there by myself for a half-hour alone. At some point, we started acting more like a team and that felt good.
After dark, I had been walking around outside by the rig barefoot. I stepped into something gooey and of course, it was awful. I would soon realize it was where somebody had dumped a pan of cat litter right on the ground. It had been rained on and because it is clay it turned into a mix of gluey gravy special smelly sauce. Keep in mind now it's squished in between my toes.
We have our cat Bert and he does go potty outdoors and I know that it’s possible that he could be in somebody's way but he just has his way of finding a place off in the woods or something like that. He hides it well buries it and all that.
This is a remnant of people that think they're doing something that's okay and it's very much not okay. They're long gone and it might have been 6 months ago but I just know that they suck for thinking that's okay.
We didn't do too much there There's always something on piddling going on but mostly just drive two hours, stay two nights. We needed to do the recycling so I asked and they said well there is a place down the road which is the landfill, I think they do that.
We gathered up all of our recycling and went down there and sure enough, there was a means of doing it with all the proper bins. That worked out pretty well. Gulf Shores was not super exciting but we had a nice visit and that's about it.
Sometimes it seems like all we're doing is a lot of nothing. This is true but the initial point of the trip was to see the country and sometimes there’s not much of a headliner. Sometimes all you did was see it and there is value in that, just not exciting.
