We found an RV park that was on the Escapees preferred type list for Las Vegas called Duck Creek. I don't know that much about Las Vegas but I figured if escapees gave it a thumbs up it would be ok. It wasn't overly fancy it had a nice pool that seemed clean and well-kept but honestly, it was just a bunch of RVs just packed in there as tight as I can be on an asphalt parking area.
Most of the people that were all about seemed like they live there all the time. So many people love this place but I am the opposite. I like the great outdoors and as dark a sky as possible. It's all so phony and people go there to get rich quick. It's just not my kind of place. All we wanted to do was drive 2 hours to stay 2 nights anyway.
On the first night we just kind of settled in and maybe got a bite to eat. The second night we went to the Bellagio to see the water show, got a bite to eat, and just went to the casino and watch people play a little bit. We were in Las Vegas about five years earlier when we went to visit the Grand Canyon. Right, when we got to the Bellagio, they had finished the show for that day and we're not going to do it again until tomorrow so we kind of missed it the first time. I really wanted to see the water show and it was great. We had no desire to stay for long as it is usually between 100 and 105 daytime temperature.
