We left out of Kings Canyon and we were looking for a place to stay a few nights in Ballico. I was looking for a boondock and was on the way to it. It was getting on later in the day and I was kind of tired of it all. I saw an exit that said McConnell State Recreation Area and I just thought I'll just take that instead.
Well, we went down and around and through a bunch of farmers' field access roads, and I just never thought I was going to get there.
And then just bam we were there and we pulled in and the host met us rather quickly and said hi there, give us money now.
I remember the price being a little offensive at like 40 bucks but we were kind of already in it at this point so we stayed for two nights. It was nice enough but felt a little pricey. I wish I had anything to say about this place because all we did is walked around a little and just dilly-dallied. I swear there was nothing significant for me about this stop.
