The days end directory read as follows:
N of Golden Gate Bridge, exit US-101 at the Hwy 1/Stimson Beach Exit, and follow signs to commuter pkg lot. N37 52.729, W122 30.959. Checked with Cal Trans and it's OK to park there on weekends, for 24 hours. Lot is not patrolled. Very close (under) US-101, so you will get some rd. noise. Very nice restaurant right across St. Free shuttle to the Muir Woods on wends.

We went towards Watsonville and by Santa Cruz and Followed Hwy 1 along the Pacific coast Hwy towards San Francisco. Along the way I saw a sign for the Pidgeon Point Lighthouse. We enjoyed seeing it but it was a little foggy. On the coastal highway went by Half Moon Bay.

When we finally get to San Francisco of course I'd like to see the bridge and the seafood and all that but it's not like an RV kind of town.
It's more like $6,000 a month for a one-bedroom and you know they don't exactly love Rvers around here.
When you're in love with these areas you can always find a place but it might be 50 or 60 bucks a night, it's hard to say. I just knew it was a place to sleep and I wasn't too excited about spending a fortune just to crash.
There is a prettier place about half an hour away from San Francisco or 45 minutes probably. It was called Olema and it would be coming up the following night. This time we just needed to sleep so we saw a boondock in the days end directory. I pasted the ad above. It says that you can sleep under the bridge. Something weird about sounding so much like homeless people.
At the time I thought it was literally under the San Francisco bridge but it is a parking lot like a park and ride.
Tons of people park here daily and get on the bus or whatever and take it into the city.
Overnight it's pretty much a desert and that's how I took advantage of it.
We were grateful to have it and everything worked out fine. It wasn't exactly glamorous. We were in the very outer edge of the parking lot to kind of keep away from everything or anybody. Although it was a perfectly fine boondock, I'll be the first to admit I got a little spooked about 7 a.m. Suddenly this empty parking lot was filling up real quick
I knew it was time to go. With so many cars filling it up it makes it harder to navigate your way to the exit.
