For our next stop, we needed a full hook up after all that boondocking. We found a place that had a Reedsport address but was a 20-minute ride east through the curvy twisty road to Loon Lake RV resort near a town called Scottsburg.
Loon Lake and was an RV Resort and it was about the only decent thing I could find in hour 2-hour hour hop area.
As we turned down the road towards Loon Lake I saw some cool elk out in the pasture probably chewing the cud because they were all laying down. It was a pretty big group of what I think were a dozen or so mature males with big antlers. Miss India just interjected that they are known as Roosevelt Elk.
I can't ever say the word elk without thinking of the Monty Python skit called an interview with Anne Elk.
She has a theory about brontosauruses it's worth a listen if you want to Google it.
Loon Lake was very pretty and I enjoyed just being there. Nothing significant happened but we did enjoy the beauty of the area.
There was a cool sculpture right as we entered the office. We thought it was pretty nice.

India also pointed out just now that as we were about to enter the office a lady was feeding some tame deer by hand. That was kind of cool.
