I didn't take any pictures here but I found a photo of what it can look like when the sea is angry
Our next stop for Fort Stevens State Park. I'm afraid the best way to describe this was some of our stops are perfectly pretty and nice enough but we just didn't do a whole lot.
It was a two-hour stop, get a little rest, fix a little something, go on a hike. We were on the southern bank of the Columbia River where it empties into the Pacific . When we got there it was getting on towards the evening and the host said that I was welcome to look around for whatever site I wished. She said I may or may not be able to find anything so I dropped the camper and went looking. I found a place that was kind of grassy but wet. We got in there but it was a little swampy and made me a little nervous but we didn't get stuck. You can't be here without thinking of Lewis and Clark. After 11/2 years they finally reached the Pacific Ocean. This was the greeting they received by Mother Ocean. The sea was saying you can look but ones who try to touch me usually die.
