We went to Ketchum Idaho next and I was looking for a place that had hot springs. Near Ketchum about 10 miles away is a place called Warm Springs Road. I went down that way and proceeded to a place that I found on free camp.net. We went there and I had it in my head that being a Saturday afternoon everything would be gone. We went down Warm Springs Road aways and we got to the place where the coordinates said that we should be we saw a couple of turnouts but nothing fabulous. Then dang if it didn't just appear that we saw a place right on the river that was big enough for our camper. I was pretty tickled and I backed into the fairly narrow gravel-packed road.

I set up the camper in a way that it wasn't blocking the road and it still allowed us enough room somehow to put the truck in there. We got set up and begin to glow at what we had found. We could sit in our little beach chairs and watch the river go by or we could go fishing. They had small trout available in the river as it appeared to be stocked. They were about 10 to 12 inches long. We tried fishing a few days later but had no luck.

Sunday we went to a church service which was a little unusual to us. The only thing available was Baptist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, or Latter-day Saints. I saw one that said church on the mountain spirit of the universe. I thought well let's give that a try. I had never heard of this before but we joined the service and found it was called the science of mind. I'm not entirely sure that it was Christian. They made that clear that it wasn't exclusively Christian. It was the spirit and God stuff like that so I was open to what they said
I just wasn't raised in it. It's a little hard to get used to but the actual service was about the sad events in Charlottesville Virginia. I can go into some detail about the sermon if I wanted to but I guess the meat of it was the phrase when one door closes the other opens. You’re in the hallway so what are you going to do in the hallway. You can't do anything you got to do something it's not about the destination but the actual present day. They did talk a fair amount about money and giving and what to do with your estate planning and had a legacy tree. You can buy a leaf that you could have engraved. In that way, it was like every of the church service I've been to.
Heavy on the offering because we need the money and nobody wants to give enough. Later after lunch, we were thinking about going to a movie but didn't follow through.

That afternoon I went up to the hot springs and it was about 6 miles up on the River Road. When I got there I asked a guy if it was boiling said not really. That was disappointing but then he did mention after a bit that it was much warmer across the river. I went to that pool and it was boiling be at least 110 degrees or more. You have to kind of gauge where you sit and kind of move a little cool water around with your hands. I keep forgetting and would get scalded but that's the way I like it.

We were way out in the boonies but I found if I set the phone in the gutters of the RV roof that's about 12 feet off the ground I could get a T-mobile signal. That was a little inconvenient but also really cool to have the internet at all. One morning I decided to hike up a steep hill fairly near the RV. There wasn’t a trail I was just climbing. Eventually, I got to a summit and enjoyed a nice view. It was a pleasure to do and I was able to get a high-angle picture of our camping spot.
This campground has just been wonderful.
