We visited Lake Como at the suggestion of a guy we met at the Cottonwood BLM. We went to Lake Como because first of all, he said it had electricity but he mentioned the water was bad so I made sure we had a hundred percent water level in my tank. It was $16 a night and it's an invite lovely forest setting. You can enjoy the lake which is pretty. He also has said if we qualified for the 62 years and older go ahead and buy a lifetime pass now. Soon they're going to $80 from $10 at the present price. India just turned 62 and so we went ahead and got one. We got the Golden Age to pass so the rate went down to $8 a night which is wonderful so thank you India. We spent two nights there and just kind of walked around a little bit. I have committed myself to walk 7300 steps a day now which is about 3 and a half miles. I/ we found out that the town is about 15 miles south is Challis. We are in the season of a total eclipse. We found out Challis is in the path of totality for the Total Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017. I didn't want to wait 4 days just for that and so I will head on north. Not to worry, we'll get 95% which is fine and dark enough for me. One thing that was pretty disturbing when we left Lake Como and headed north was seeing an active wildfire. We went right past Lolo pass and it was so on fire. The sky was so smoky it was almost dark in the middle of the day. I think there's like 30,000 acres by any means just disturbing
