Our next stop was Havre. There wasn't a lot around so I found Fairgrounds that worked out rather nicely. We went there and they had kind of a replica of some train cars from the Great Northern Railway. I mentioned the track ran from the Portland area to New York. It had a million purposes but the Great Northern decided that if they gave people an easy way to visit Glacier it would bring more tourism to the area. They did and the road we're on which is Highway 2 follows the Great Northern Railway all the way.
Havre wasn't exactly particularly glamorous or amazing but I did get my rear window fixed there. It had a pizza box plugging it for several months because I broke it breaking into my truck after I locked myself out.
The other significant thing that happened is I found a Dodge dealer. I just wanted to make sure that the computer I bought online was programmed properly. They did what they said was kind of a reboot or write over the program to make sure it's factory correct. I can't tell you that there was any change but I wanted to make sure it was right. Havre had a Walmart and that was exciting. I noticed several times and we were fairly close to Canada because I would see signs saying turn left here to go to the border. Havre was a nice enough small town.
