I don't care where we go if I see the word hot springs I just glow with glee. Our next stop was Saco Montana sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs.
It was an RV park with maybe 50 sites on a grassy field with the gravel road leading to them. There was a place we could go down and see the actual Hot Springs source. It was a kind of well plumbing-type thing that looked like an artesian well. Water just kind of poured out of the ground boiling hot and that they would pipe it/ plumb it up the hill. They pumped it up to the resort 500 yards away. When you go inside you would see a small pool about maybe 12 feet long by 6 feet wide and this is where the water first entered the facility. It was crazy hot about as hot as you can stand it,106 maybe. I loved it and then I would ease over the barrier into the rather chilly water that was the normal pool temperature. I guess even though it might have been 80 degrees in the pool it was awfully cold as you step out of 106. The interior was just gorgeous The ceilings were composed of exposed wood beams. I'll just say it was about as pretty a place you could go to.
I enjoyed going to Hot Springs on two separate occasions.

I also went on a pretty significant walk and down the way to a river. I noticed some folks boondocking down there and eventually we moved the rig down there because it was so nice.

I also took a picture of a placard up where they had cooked one of the largest hamburger patties and it was in the Guinness Book of World Records
I was just taking a look at the placard about the big hamburger and it was September 5th, 1999
It says that the late Loren Green had the idea and he also cooked it. Loren Greene is popular for the show Bonanza which I grew up watching so that's pretty cool.
And if I find out that there's a different Loren Green, I'm going to feel kind of stupid.
The hamburger patty weighed 6040 lb. Now I'm getting all this from a pretty faded sign so I do believe that that accurate.
It was a Guinness Book of World Records for the world's largest hamburger.
