I found Hendrum city park on freecamp.net

I love how some of these small towns have RV spots that are almost never used, yet wow they're just perfect for us. They're usually cheap, sometimes they're free. Keep in mind this place had water sewer and electricity which is normally 30 plus dollars a night.

I think when this happens it's because people don't come by here very often as it's a real remote area. When somebody comes by, they may be so charmed, they may decide to come back sometime and spend some money.

I guess the town feels like it's a win-win.

It's also entirely possible that this is a small park-type family get-together small carnival-type place where the carnivals come through. Maybe they need a place to have their rigs for their workers to hook up. It could be for oil well workers or migrant farmer workers but it was pretty cool for us.

Today is the day that we parted ways with our sweet girl Savannah. It's bittersweet because she's been with us for a year-and-a-half in an RV. The fact that she looked in the mirror one day and said I prefer to be anywhere but here kind of stings a little bit. At the same time, she's a teenager and when I tell people about how long she hung in there they say most teenagers would not have made it 6 months. I'm beyond grateful for the time we spent together, it was healing. We went from crazy teenager to okay teenager. Her reasons for going back indeed were to connect up with a boyfriend. She says they've been dating on the phone. Regardless of whether I like the guy or not sure, she’s an adult now.

You can get angry at your daughter but you never want to see any harm come to her. She was going to go from Fargo North Dakota to Albany New York where she was going to spend a few days with a high school friend of hers named Emma. They didn't go to the same high school but we grew up with their kids and they were friends. Emma had become such a chore that she was no longer welcome to her parents’ house. At 18 her Dad she's got to go and so they sent her to go live with Grandma in Albany New York. Savannah went to visit them and then was going to go from Albany to Wilmington. You can do all this in about an hour and an airplane but on a bus, it was about a 30-hour ride to Albany.

I had printed out her entire itinerary so I would know how she was doing and where she was. We gave her a bunch of snacks and junk food and candy, sodas, and things in her backpack. We told her was that the stakes are very high. If they had anything to eat at the bus station go for it. On the layovers, I told her not to start walking down the street of some strange town to a local diner. You go to get a slice of pizza and this is how young girls get stolen.

She checked in quite often and I checked in quite often. I was just checking with her at transition times saying are we good are you getting on the right bus and she never messed up once.

As we were parking the RV at Hendrum city park another weird little thing happened. As I was making a turn a low-hanging tree limb that was significantly sturdy punctured the side of the RV up in the bedroom area behind one of the cabinets. That stinks now I have another thing to repair.
