We met a couple at Crystal River in Florida and we were on the same tour to swim with the manatees.
I mentioned to them if we were ever in Canada we’ll give you a call and vice versa if you ever in Wilmington sort of thing.
I had emailed back and forth with Claire several times to try to nail down what we were doing and when. We were near their home I checked in and she said Wednesday would be good.
This is a bunny trail took a picture of a sign of what it would be like to visit a building supply store in Quebec. It's not like I completely understand what it means but I got a picture that says Service aux entrepreneurs. I believe it means contractor's entrance or perhaps it means contractors only. I don't know but I took a picture because it was cool.

Claire or Daniel lived in a gated community so Daniel met me at the gate/guardhouse.
I love the idea and I love the hospitality offered but I could never feel comfortable with staying very long. I felt like we were imposing even though they said it was okay.
He led me into where they lived and showed me where I should park. I felt a little bad because I was on his lawn but he's the one that said that's where I should be.
I had to believe that means it's ok. They gave us an orange drop cord to give us electricity to keep the battery charged.
We got settled in and I think they had a dinner to go to or something. It was like let's visit tomorrow if that’s good for you.
Claire mentioned she had a doctor's appointment at like noon in Quebec City so let's kind of visit at 9 or 10 a.m.
We began to stir and had some breakfast strolled up the hill at 9 maybe. We sat in a foyer-type sunroom.
It's not like they didn't invite us into the house but we didn't need to go into the house and we were happily enjoying the sunroom. Maybe they were happier that way I don't know. I don’t know what they do for a living. I don't know if they're independently wealthy. They struck me as being a little wealthy because of the way they talked. I got the feeling they might have been retired. They would not be in Florida next year because they were going to South Africa for a couple of months. These things led me to think that money was not a problem.
I don't even know why I mentioned that other than this is just my observation so I figured I might as well say what I was thinking.
We talked and hung out for an hour-ish and I tried to stay aware that Claire said she had a doctor's appointment. They mentioned we should go to Quebec City.

I knew we needed to keep on trekking across Canada and get down the hill and be home by Thanksgiving. For whatever reason, I just felt like we didn't have a lot of time to spend a day or two in Quebec City.
I’m not a big fan of big cities and told them I didn’t think we would have time to go there.
I told them that we were grateful and were probably going to head out before noon. We thank them profusely but I think they were disappointed that we skipped Quebec City. They couldn't imagine how anybody could be in their country and not want to go there. I didn't say it to them but we try to see a lot of stuff but sometimes we can’t do everything and that's kind of how I felt. I said I know we might be a little odd for not having much time but we want to thank you deeply for your hospitality and hope to see you someday.
