Ever since I was a kid, I remember seeing images of the Bay of Fundy and it is obviously up towards Nova Scotia. It’s where ships and boats can be in the water floating happily at noon and everything looks like a little postcard and then forward to 6 hours later it's all bone dry and they're lying on their side.

I always thought this was pretty interesting but now we are exactly where that occurs and we decided to watch it happen.

We found a place called Hopewell rocks and it's a large parking area where people go and visit a public park and see the tides. It’s a public area where people go to walk trails and do things but it was on my list as a boondock possibility. I parked happily at the farthest edge of the parking lot and I can't think of a better little spot to spend the night.

I went down to a set of stairs and it takes you down to the water and at some point, during the day it's just water, and then later on in the day, it's bone dry.

I walked all around when it was dry and took a ton of pictures. It was pretty cool. I kept in mind make sure you get back to the stairs in time or you be swimming or in danger. The tide difference is significant. I pasted a tide table that shows a 40-foot change from low to high tide.
