#233 Skyline drive Battle of Cedar Creek Campground Middletown, Va

I’ve always been a big fan of the Skyline Drive but we didn't see any availability at the campgrounds. It is fall and the foliage season so good luck with that. There are RV parks and then there’s long-term run-down trailer parks. The one we found was the latter and it wasn't much. I would never stay here twice.

It’s called the Battle of Cedar Creek Campground privately owned. There were maybe 20 Rigs and then up on the hill was short term maybe 5 or 10 sites. Even further up it's just salvage or rigs being stored.

Well, we got there and there was a note on the door saying that we're gone if you need us call this number. We called the number and somebody said they would meet us there to take the money.

He gave us some talk about how he was the new management and anyway how are things going to be all better soon. For what it's worth it was really a dump and they charged I think 25 or $30. He says oh by the way don't drink the water it will probably make you sick.

I asked him if the water is that bad, can I have a discounted rate and he said no.

This is one of those two hour stops where you might stay one night or two but you did you wouldn't want to spend a lot of time here.

Same old same old I pretty much do these things just for the purposes seeing something pretty like the Skyline Drive.

We rode around on the Skyline Drive a little bit but I don't have any pictures of it so my guess is we didn't spend much time there this time.

I did take a picture of a pickup truck that seem to be owned by Red Neckerson.

He's letting you know if you want to try to take my assault rifle you better bring yours because you're going to have to kill me to get my assault rifle

For the more liberal type people in the room, it was like " welcome to Front Royal "
