Our next stop would be a Boondock that was listed as kind of a hydro dam parking lot. It was called Mactaquac Dam

and to my joy, it was near the world's biggest ax.

I found it on the days end directory. There wasn’t much of a description or review. Nobody said it was glamorous it was just a documented boondock.

The coordinates would take you down a road off the main highway maybe a mile or so and you would go towards a hydroelectric Dam.

Rather than going over the dam or any further, you hung out in a very large parking area just in view of it.

That would be where we would spend the night not glamorous but I felt safe, I think. That's the main thing. A safe place to spend the night. I don't remember anything negative about it. There were a handful of people that has come by as well. A few Rigs and some people just sleeping in their cars. That's always just a little weird. People are making do as best they can but just sleeping in your car is not exactly glamping.

I had seen a sign or an advertisement at a place called Frederickson saying come visit the world's biggest Axe. It was great that it was on the way to the Boondock.

These are the things that I get the biggest kick out of. I have always said I wanted to travel in a way that when seeing an ad for the biggest ball of yarn I would stop. I love this stuff.

I enjoy the creativity or the imagination of the people that would build a device or sculpture this big. On the downside it means we cut the entire forest down and here's the proof. It's kind of like Paul Bunyan's ax.

We went by to see the ax and India posed for some great pictures. I just had a wonderful time visiting the big ax and we went on to the dam dam and had a good night's rest.
