Sherando Lake was available for a few days and we were there towards the end of their season which was November 1st.
It was a nice enough place with water and electricity and I think during some of these stops we were kind of were just exploring the area and messing about looking at colors.
There was a pretty nice like above us as we seem to be at the base of an earthen dam.

There was another pretty lake down below and then we drive over there to look.

There was some nice color there. One funny thing happened at this site. We were just sitting there and suddenly were about a thousand ladybugs all over the place.
I had a hard time being bothered by it because I know they eat aphids and farmers purchase them. They place them in their fields because they act as an organic pesticide.
I have to tell you we were sort of infested. They decided to get into every little crook and crevice of the RV. Some of them hung out in the windows and somewhere in the vents. I kept finding ladybugs for 3 months after that. and I kept telling the ladybugs they'd be better off outdoors. There's nothing to eat inside the RV. I tried to tell them but they wouldn't listen.
This makes me think of a little visit we had from some creatures from Winston-Salem back when we were there just after the hurricane. We didn't have any real problems with them but in the exhaust fans, there were five or ten stink bugs.
As kids, we always said if you piss one off bad enough or squishing them they stink so bad that's why they’re called stink bugs.

One time they were so many in the exhaust fan that it wouldn't even spin until I help clear out some of them.
Well, we figured most of them would stay in Winston but they hung around for months. I think some of them even found their way into the new RV is I found one in March of 2019
When we were heading towards the campground my saw a sign for the Sherlyn Baptist church.
My little sister's name is Cheryl Lynn.

She has laughed over the years as people sometimes call her Shuryl.
When I saw the Sherlyn Baptist Church, I just had to send it to her. She laughed plenty about that.
