#293 Researched some parks for next year, Stop 1, Lake Kissimmee State Park

I guess it was time to leave and we figured we would just check out some parks that we might want to rent next year. I will say a little something about each stop. It was very informative and we learned what we needed to and wrote down the sites that we would prefer.

Stop 1 CAMPGROUND: Lake Kissimmee State Park

We left Wekiwa and the internet was saying that there was a major wreck or something on I-4 and it looks like maybe a 20-minute delay. I looked for another route but I thought that maybe all of the work of bypassing it might be more complicated than just riding through it.

I don't remember exactly how long we were detained but I feel like it was about an hour and we were going 1 mile an hour forever.

When we got to 27 south it cleared up a little bit but what a drag to be in such a thick traffic jam for so long. It makes you think I will not miss Orlando traffic. I don't know if it's Disney traffic or what but it was awful.

We got to Lake Kissimmee it was a perfectly nice little part but like I said it was way out in the country. If you want a remote this is it. It's where you drive 20 minutes to get to a dollar general. There was very poor to no cell service there and nothing else around.

We settled in and it was only available for one night. We needed a break-up to drive a little bit because it would be 4 hours plus to get to WP Franklin. We needed a break so it was just a nice stop and take a few pictures. It didn’t feel like a place we would stay for 2 weeks next year. Maybe a weekend at some point.
