Last winter we found ourselves up at Eustis Florida. We were looking for a UU church that was near Wekiva Springs State Park.
There was one in Orlando and one I don't think we actually tried a little further out in the country. We went to this one and it really was a nice group of folks. I'm sure I mentioned in a previous post that I was sitting in the service and the recessed lights were flickering so I spoke to someone afterwards and suggested maybe I can fix it which led to a friendship and blah blah blah but I said I would come back by Eustis on the way North and so that's why we we're here. There is an RV park at Lake Griffin State Park but there was also an RV location at a County Park at Mount Dora. Mount Dora is like 3 miles from Eustis and actually Lake Griffin says more like 20 minutes or so. We found it to be a very affordable little spot and it's on a leg and really a bunch of a sites are just Waterfront with a dock and all of it was crazy shady and a pretty place to hang out. The problem is there's never a vacancy at least in the winter. Much like a number of the other experiences now that it's not winter anymore if you can catch a spot here and there and so, we called and we were able to find a place for Wednesday Thursday and we reserved it and came on in and stayed for two nights.
It's a real woodsy place and I sort of thought I wanted to be right on the water but those particular sites were only about 45 feet long in my rig is 40 so he put me in another side which is like a hundred feet long. Bert loved it and we loved it, so it was really cool.

One evening me and India went out to kind of go out on a dock that is on the water and Bert was on the shoreline looking at us like what are you doing on that thing way out there.
A dock was foreign to him like why would anybody go in the water when it's dangerous and so I meowed and coaxed him onto the dock and he went out there with us for a while but mostly he thought it was kooky and went back to dry land pretty quickly.
On the next day I contacted my friend and she had rented a Genie Lift and we went up in the air to check on some lighting using this much better system than a ladder.
I may show a picture of a Genie Lift you just so people will know what it's not right I think this one goes 20 feet in the air and it has an outriggers that keep you stable for some people it would still be creepy but it's a heck of a lot comfier than a ladder.

The picture might make it look ho hum but when you're 20 feet in the it takes a little while to convince yourself it wont topple over. It won't but it seems like it should.

I did a few things for her in the ceiling and then we created a power source for an outdoor camera doorbell and did a few three-way switches and she was very thankful and that's fine.
This was our visit to Mount Dora and it's a really pretty little spot.
The way it works is it's not that easy to get a hold of them you can't preserve anything online and Reserve up to 45 days ahead of time and you just have to be on your toes if you want it. You can get a site but not in winter at all and not available on weekends hardly ever.
