#313 Franklin NC, Watauga baptist church parking lot

Finally we are in the mountains, even before we go to Tallulah it was cooler and I was so grateful to be out of the heat.

Once before my sister and husband Wesley who are the pastor and preacher's wife of Watauga Baptist Church were nice enough to let it stay in their parking lot.

Their church parking lot is better than most in that they have a 50-amp RV cord receptacle and water.

We were there kind of midweek so it didn't bother anybody.

I heard the word Smoky Mountains all my life but I have rarely really been there intentionally that much.

I felt like we were past due on this and we needed to really try to visit the Smoky Mountains. After a few nights with Sheila we visited at the Wednesday night prayer meeting and all that but we decided to go up to a little past Cherokee to Smokemont Campground which is in the heart of the Smoky Mountain National Park.
