I had assumed that the difficulty of getting a decent site at Fort Clinch would push me into going to Crooked River State Park which had plenty of availability. If we could get Fort Clinch it's closer to Florida which would be nice. I wanted to stay on the beach because it's easy and made for big rigs. I called and they had one site left and so I came on down with the hopes that it would work out. The site they had was not on the beach but easier than the site I had been in a year or so back.

My previous visit years earlier was kind of tight and was on the right side of the main road. The limbs are low and it's kind of difficult to get in and out. The limbs were so low they rubbed the air conditioner and it would have been a big problem had I not been staring at the trees the whole time I was backing in. It would have been a good place to have ripped the air conditioner or TV antenna right off the rig but nothing bad happened on that particular day. It traumatized me for future visits so I was glad the site they had was much easier this time. Nothing much to report here. It was nice and peaceful enough. We went on a hike in the Cypress swamp. I took some pretty cool pictures but that’s about it.
