Our next 2-hour hop was up at the Chattahoochee River area. We read it was in north Florida and how this was the location of the first mental hospital in Florida. That was interesting but I didn’t want to visit as they might make me stay. It was just a small town with just very little opportunity for restaurants but we found one. When we arrived, we were there during the week so we were able to get a nice site before the weekend. It was first come first serve pay-as-you-go so we looked and found what we thought would be the best site right next to the woods for Bert. It was a nice 50 amp service and water. We got settled in and went into town and had some dinner at one of the two places in town The other choice was a Chinese buffet. Beyond that, it would be fast food. We had no internet and we went hunting for a library or something and the GPS took us to a building but it wasn't a library anymore. It seemed more like just a community outreach with nice people but not a library. We wanted to update the phone and download a few shows. We found a little signal if we went to the far side of town we found a tower.

I had asked one of the fellows about fishing and he suggested using shad as cut bait and putting it on the bottom and going for catfish. He showed me how to get rigged to fish the bottom. I went down one evening and I got a few nibbles. I lost to a fair amount of bait but I never actually brought anything in. It's kind of nice to know that there was something out there. If you get a bite and lose your bait at least you know something's going on.

After a while, the sun started to go down and I just got treated to the prettiest sunset you would ever want to ask for. I was glad to get some pictures of that. With that, it was time to move to the next town.
