We found ourselves about 45 minutes away from Marcus and the family about March 19th. Now at Wind Creek State Campground, we gave them a call so we came over on a Sunday afternoon and look to the area and visit a little bit trying to decide how and where we might park the RV. When I was there in September, I did notice a little stretch by the cabin that would work but it's a little bit tough to get down that road, and I sort of thought I might find myself out in the cow pasture with the Bison on the other side of the creek. There was water and electricity available in that area so was it a matter of nosing around to see him what was there to see. I immediately realized the cow pasture wouldn't work because it was just really not navigable for me and the RV was very bumpy and eroded and just not meant to be. Of course, I checked in and said hello to the family and it was nice to visit get to see everybody again. I was checking out the one-lane dirt road to see how well that would work and many parts of it were brother did and there was some low allowance but I was measuring with my tape measure to make sure I was more than 13 foot 6 and I only found one treat it was too low so we had that trimmed back. I took a look at the road going to the cabin by the lake which is about maybe a quarter-mile away from the larger lake house where the family resides until the creek village is finished and that might take 6 more months to a year. I decided that going down to the cabin with be the only real place to stay and so was all that checked off we visited for a little while and then headed back to Wind Creek Campground and then when we left out of there, we would arrive you on Monday, March 23rd.
Back at the RV, we did a little hiking and I noticed lots of sponsor trailers as there was a fishing tournament at the lake. There was a guy there who had all these sponsorships all over his camper and all over his boat. I spoke to him for a minute as he arrived with his boat in the afternoon. I said, so how are things? He said I caught some fish but not nearly enough and not enough weight. He looked emotionally down about it as if he were in survival mode. I figured they're giving him a boat and like 10 or 20,000 dollars or whatever but you've got to catch fish for them to keep on supporting you. Everywhere you drive you're just this big billboard for their product but it seems like a lot of pressure. Clearly, some people are fishing for fun and some people's lives depend on it. I can’t see how this is fun anymore for this guy but who knows.

It was the weekend and we would have loved to have gone to a church service but they were not meeting. I called and the pastor said he would meet with me and just hang out some. The UU church was very interesting and old.
The sign out front said organized in 1847 and built-in 1907.
It was interesting to have been there for so long is the most conservative place in the world.
The pastor and I talked about politics and this and that and the other and it was great. He said that there was a large Baptist church next door for sale. It is an enormous building with a full commercial kitchen for like $100,000 if I wanted to buy it. Of course, it would have been a steal but I can't be buying buildings. It was a pleasure talking to him and after that, I moved on. I took lots of pictures of the interior as it was very beautiful.
