This post should have just been combined with the one prior but oh well.

By check-out time on Friday, we had to leave Melton Hill and have the RV towed somewhere. I asked the office lady if I could park down below at a parking lot below the dam and she said that's not our property it belongs to the TVA. I tried to call the TVA dam and I got recordings after recordings but somehow, I finally got a name. I talked to a fellow that was law enforcement for the area with a TVA badge. He said If you want to keep it down there for a few days it will be okay.

I had planned on arriving in Winston Salem on about the 1st of July to be helpful to my sister who was getting a knee replacement. When the transmission died I had to call and say I wasn’t going to make it. She was understanding but I felt I had not been there for her and that felt bad.

We would be Boondock Camping but we have a pretty view of the river. I thought it would just be for two days but it turns out it needed to be in till at least Monday. He hesitantly said it was okay. We paid about $200 to have the rig moved a mile down the and that kind of sucked but what choice did we have. We tried to make lemonade out of this so we settled in and it was just a really pretty place to be even though it was boondocking. I had to get on the phone and find a place for us to be and that was not easy. I called all kinds of campgrounds and nobody had anything for two weeks especially since the 4th of July was coming up soon. The security guy came by on Saturday and said we need you to go ahead and move on out real soon. I knew they had been kind and patient so I thanked him and said we would be gone by the next day. I needed a rental car and the Mustang was the same price as the Kia so I enjoyed the Mustang for sure.
