I looked on maps and found some coordinates that will put you right on the loop.

39.290564, -102.983961

Here is a review for where we were heading.

Warning for big rigs!

Reviewed September 28, 2018

BEWARE if you are in a large RV with a toad! In all fairness, we did get there at dark but going to the location on the GPs was an error for us. One small truck/camper was on “the loop” and we tried to go around him and low and behold there was a line of trees with VERY low hanging branches! We ended up having to unhook the Jeep and turn around and go back to an area that was large, clear, and somewhat level. If are in a large RV, go past the building that will be on your left and look for the first road on the right. It is where you need to go. Don’t follow GPS

Stayed here in a 36-foot-long Class A + a Toad (RV). Jamie would not stay here again.

This review bothered me and so I approached cautiously. Getting there in the dark is a bad idea but all the rest is overdone and I would definitely stay here again. If you have a big rig and you stay right on the gravel there are tree limbs but just don’t stay on the gravel when turning that curve. That’s a pretty simple solution to a low branch.

We left Smoky Gardens late as I mentioned and when we got to the exit for Flagler it was a little strange because there was a very long service road that was made of dirt. Some people who had done a review for this Boondock suggested I would not get there in the dark and I had intended to not get there at dark Here I am getting there in the dark. I had gone to some extra trouble to put on my offline maps an exact coordinate of exactly where the boondock was so that I didn't get turned around. I should be very proud of myself because this was a good plan. By the time we got there, it was beyond dark and without those exact coordinates, I would have not hit it the first time out. You don't want to look for a place to turn around in the dark in my rig. We got settled and we didn't know that some people were car camping down the way and they had a little campfire going but they didn't bother us and we didn't bother them.

When we arrived I didn’t concern myself with where to park. It was acres of flat field with a loop road as a perimeter. We just pulled off the gravel into the field enough not to block the road. It was so remote you couldn’t have bothered anyone ever. Down below us was what might have been an official spot and there was some people car camping. They left early in the morning. Other than it being 5 miles or so of gravel road from the interstate it was a great boondock. We were in a 39-foot 5th wheel with three more feet of a bike rack in back.

I noticed the next morning I got up early and Bert was out just enjoying the sunrise. I took a picture of that as he was kind of being a cool cat. After a while, we left before noon and it was a nice little visit.
