These hidden faces were at Arches
I had looked for what was available in the Moab area and I was a little bothered that everything was kind of expensive or junky. Some RV parks could be anywhere from 50 to $70 per night and then even then it was crowded like sardines. I had stayed at Ken's Lake in the past and I kind of hoped it was still available. Sure enough, it was. We got there and you know it could have gone the wrong way because I've remembered it was going towards the weekend. It was Friday but we're there early in the day and even then at maybe like noon there were only like two or three sites left. We pulled into one and somebody had some sort of reserved ticket on it but they were completely gone and it looked like they had checked out. We took it and I was kind of hoping it wouldn't be any problems and they were not.
Off in the distance, I remember from our first visit there had been a really big waterfall and this time I didn't see it so clearly. I was thinking this might be a year where it was a little dried up, I never got over that way this time but that was just something I noticed it wasn't as visible. On your first official day of touring we went up to Canyon Lands National Park and we drove all around and enjoyed looking at all of the various Canyons at Canyonlands. I never heard of it prior but it was very much pretty and glad we saw it. It was all very pretty ad I took lots of cool pictures. There was one where I saw lots of images in the rock formations. I've been doing that quite a bit and enjoying seeing images in the rocks. Soon it was sunset and that’s always a pleasure then we headed back to the RV. There was a very dark sky here which was great for stargazing.
The next day we went to Arches and tried to just see all the arches this time. The first time we came here they were doing lots of construction and most of the iconic arches were not available to see. We did lots of hiking and I took a ton of pictures because I saw a lot of hidden figures and all of the rock formations. It was just a great visit to Arches National Park again and this time they were fully open.

Arches , the rock has a hidden figure

I rode by and this looked like a Rhinocerous to me

I turned the truck around and from a different angle the Rhino looked like a lady sunning at the beach with headphones

I like taking pictures of trees that have been through a lot and are still alive

India said this seemed like praying hands. I agreed and zoomed in and inside the hands was a child.

The child

I saw a hidden face on this rock wall

Not for the Closter phobic

This seemed to be two creatures kissing

India below helps one see how big everything was

At sundown, it seemed like these tree limbs were giant elk antlers

This looked like a sleepy skeleton guy

This guy seemed like he ate too much

This guy had a cool profile

I saw this lady and she seemed to be a young beautiful maiden

This formation has several elephants in it shown separately below

I should have figured this out years ago but while we were at Ken's Lake, I realized that the way you parked the RV can be fantastic or kind of dumb. I realized that whenever you park with our front door facing east this is the best way to be when it's hot weather. In the morning when it's cool out the sun comes into the living room window and warms you up. By 10 am it's right up and over and then is on top of the rig at noon. It starts getting hot in the latter part of the day when it's 90 to 100 degrees the sun is shining on the refrigerator or driver side of the RV which has no windows. It’s kind of stays over there and keeps the part where you're living room is out of the sun and stays cool. I did this for another couple of stops. I thought why didn't I figure this out years ago? Ken's lake was a wonderful dry camping experience and like $5 after we get the senior discount.
The next day we went to Canyonlands and it was very nice.

We ended up here in Canyonlands near sunset

Down below were converging rivers but I thought it looked like a big T-rex footprint

In the top center there is a heart-shaped rock

On our way home, this rock guy seemed to be looking at us
The next day I was kind of trolling around looking for a place to catch a free shower and honestly, this town had kind of got that memo. Everything was like you couldn't get away with much of anything. We found an RV park that had a sign on the bathroom door that said if you're even thinking about using our shower check with the front office first. By the time we got to the next stop, it was time for a nice hot bath and showers. That would be Blue Lake which wasn't that great of an experience but they had water and electricity and that made them wonderful.
