We went to Blue Mountain for one reason only. They had some availability and a 50 amp service. We had been dry camping for a while so we really wanted showers a nice hot bath and some electricity. So we stopped in and they put us in a pull-through that was, I don't know don't mean to complain, but it was one of those your awning is touching their awning. There were maybe 12 in between us in a long row with folks on the left and right. Up front, there was no place to park the truck except sideways directly in front of the rig.
The next day Bert was out exploring a bit and I saw him go under the rig next to us. Unfortunately, my cat tends to be an idiot and he had crawled up into the engine compartment of one of these really large motorhomes. We need to leave at some point and I didn't want them to crank up the engine and hurt him or worse. I get it’s his fault but no one wants a dead cat. It was about 9:00 in the morning and I knocked on the door and no one came. I waited then I knocked some more and no one came. I began to believe that they weren't home, maybe out for a walk. I went under the RV and started calling the cat and asking him to come out and he looked right at me and would not. I took a small handful of little pebbles and threw it up in the engine apartment trying to scare him out and it worked. Right as I got my hands on him and put him inside our rig a lady walked out of the rig and said may I help you? I said I'm sorry I didn't know you were here I had knocked on the door and no one came. Well. we were asleep Thank you very much! Her tone was I am feeling a mild hangover and you’re ruing my day.
I said yeah, my cat kind of got out and was retrieving him. They said yeah, I know I saw you let him out all night. I said I'm sorry it happened and we'll be leaving very soon and I'm sorry I bothered you. They were kind of angry that I did what I did and yet I thought when I knocked and they weren't home it's going to be all good but they didn't like me very much I didn't like them either.
When we are moving from place to place every few days the cat just doesn't like to leave and he hides. That's why we try to find wooded places, not like this but oh well.
