There was a volunteer guy named Scott that I worked with at Sedona. He mentioned Bullhead city as one of their getaways. I didn't know anything about it except it's where the Colorado River bulges out to form a lake behind a dam. We had hoped to come back this way to see what it was all about someday and now we are here. We found a site for a few days and we were just right on the road. The awning view was of the desert so Bert could go out and play and have a good time. We had a pretty view of the lake. I walked out and showed him some brushy areas down there below us near the lake. This helped him know a good place to go to stay out of trouble. On one of these times, he kind of came back to the RV quickly, so I wonder if there was something in the bushes he didn't care for. The second night I was I walked him down and showed him the bushes and kind of pushed him in and said no here go in there and have some fun. I pause for a minute at a nearby picnic table and waited. A lady up the way said, Is that your cat? I said yeah and she said, Well it looked like you were trying to get rid of him. I said no I was just showing him that the bushes were a cool place to go play. I'm sorry it looked like that. I want you to know I wouldn't ever do such a thing. I walked up and started shooting the breeze with them for a while. They had a pretty cool kitty that was more like on a leash and would go outside with them for hours but a little tamer than Bert is.

Lake Havasu was cool in every kind of way. It was also where London bridge is which is a pretty cool story that I need to read up on.

Maybe I will put a wiki here.

I mentioned back in Palm Springs on the way to Fallbrook we had a hydraulic cylinder that became disconnected and in the process, the piston was bent which made a horrible sound whenever you pushed the slide in or out. I looked online and found a replacement for about a hundred dollars. I wasn't positive it was bad but I hoped I was right.

I flew my anti-Trump flag daily after January 6

I could always return it if it wasn't bad. I looked at the lead time and decided that Lake Havasu would be a great place to ship it to. That's what I did so now we're there I picked it up from the UPS store and began to learn how to take one of these apart.

I was pleased that it was very simple and that there was no bleeding the air out of the lines or anything. I did find that the O-rings were questionable so I went to a hardware store and got new ones and began to do the change out. It took a couple of hours but I was able to remove the old one install the new one, add fluid and it worked so perfectly. I was quite proud of myself and I did it right there on the ground at my camping area at Lake Havasu.

Unfortunately, whenever I'm exploring a place there sometimes has to be a negative. We got there about midweek and maybe occasionally an obnoxious boat would go by. This means they've got a real big hot rod engine and no muffler because no muffler means more horsepower. We go very fast but we are deafeningly loud. You may not like it but we don’t care because we only care about ourselves. As it gets a little closer to the weekend speedboats are screaming by every minute or so and they're going about a hundred miles an hour. It’s like 150 decibels and it goes on like this kind of all weekend. I thought to myself you got such a really beautiful place and these folks are destroying it with their loudness. It's not bad enough for anybody to do anything about it. It’s not okay but nobody enforces it and the locals basically could care less. It just seemed to kill the serenity of the place and so I was completely convinced I could never be here for any period of time and that kind of sucked.

I left a review on their website letting people know it's a gorgeous place but unless you really like NASCAR in the infield this is not the place for you. If you want serenity, this is not it.

After a few days, we moved on
