I love the Hoover dam and everything about it. Boulder City is where it all happened. Boulder would have been the name of the dam but they changed it to Hoover towards the end.
This was a federal place and so we got half off. It was maybe five bucks a day and it was dry camping but I looked very carefully for a site that was within reach of a water spigot. I found something that would work then there was a fellow that said hey I'm getting ready to leave today if you want this site. it so It was quite nice there was a skoolie right in front of us to the left and that was kind of cool. It turns out that they had a generator going 12 hours a day and it was so loud and it was obnoxious and I was just so happy every day when it reached the quiet hour rule of 10:00 p.m. It was just so horrible I even offered to buy them a muffler and at least try to make it quieter. We talked a little bit about this and that and they were brand new so I tried to offer some advice here and there. They were nice enough people, just weird. It was a family of two adults and maybe three kids all crammed into a school bus. They didn’t have any of the amenities. It just had water that flowed from a bucket to a gray bucket. I mentioned creating black tanks to them they thought that was crazy because they wanted to poop into a bucket.

It seems there are certain kinds of people who like to live off-grid and they really like pooping in the buckets even though there’s a better way to do it. They just think it's great, not my thing but trying too hard not to be judgy.
We stayed four nights and I got to tell you this place was really pretty. We went on several walks and went to the Boulder Museum and watched the damn movie again. We went into town a few times and enjoyed a quaint little restaurant. They had cool nostalgia Americana signs.

I like those kinds of things. We didn’t do that much but I enjoyed being in Boulder. I got some fuel in the direction of Vegas but not too close. We would definitely love to host here in the winter if we could get the job but they wouldn't even talk about it until about 4 months out.
Next, we would go up to the next possible cool place at Lake Mead called Stewarts. By the way, Lake Mead is enormous like 60 miles long.

Bert brings his catches inside the RV and they are always mice. This time it was a baby bunny. We told him this was not going to happen and we let it go outside and live.
