We began to realize to make boondocking work we need to use less battery power. It occurred to me that even using our CPAP machines for 8 hours at 120 volts takes energy provided by the inverter and that energy comes from batteries. I looked at the numbers and it seemed like we could cut our battery use down a good bit by not having them work off 120 volts at all.

I began to realize that there was a transformer on the cord that creates 24 volts DC. I looked on Amazon and found you could just buy a 24-volt power cord that works off battery power which is exactly what I needed. I had to pick a place to receive them using an Amazon Locker that was in our path. The winner was a place called Rupert Idaho so that would be our next stop mainly just to pick up a package and it was a two-hour stop. There was a large lake up that way that I would have preferred to stay at but we couldn't seem to find any vacancy so we ended up at a place called Heyburn City Park.

Even though it was a glorified parking lot it had full hookups and it seemed to be nicely kept up. We stayed there for one night. Another place was reviewed on free camp.net and we drove down to see what we were missing. It wouldn't have worked out as everybody there seemed to be permanent residents and it was just a little crappy looking so we were happy to be where we were.

We went up to the grocery store with a name we never heard of I think it's called Ridley's and picked up our package bought a few groceries and that was about it for this stop.
